Our Story
Like most good stories, it all started in the middle of a global pandemic.
Evan was putzing through life working two jobs and avoiding people, while Alex was spending months in isolation—just him and his thoughts. On a whim, Alex decided to spend his birthday in Boston, a city he’d been wanting to move to for nearly a decade. Since he worked remotely, he packed his laptop and enough clothes for what he thought would be a week… but ended up staying much longer.
One fateful night, the stars aligned—and they both swiped right.

At first, Alex thought Evan looked like a cocky frat bro (and he was into that), while Evan was captivated by Alex’s bold photo in a pair of American flag overalls. They had a short back-and-forth until Evan ghosted. (In his defense, he rarely went on Tinder.) But fate had other plans, and their paths crossed again. This time, Evan actually responded.

They made casual plans to grab the new Doritos Nacho Cheese Bites from 7-Eleven… or maybe it was Taco Bell… or Wendy’s? The point is: expectations were low.
Evan picked Alex up from his place at 10:30 PM, not knowing that night would change everything.
On the drive, they passed a sign for Boston, and Evan suddenly said, “I have a better idea,” before turning onto I-93 South.
They ended up at the rooftop bar at Earl’s in the city, sipping dirty martinis and sharing truffle fries while talking about life, dreams, and everything in between. At one point, Alex excused himself to the bathroom and texted his niece Sadie:

By the end of the night, Alex made the first move and kissed Evan.
And when Evan got home, he texted his friend Taejasvi:

That one spontaneous night turned into countless adventures, late-night conversations, and a love that felt easy, surprising, and so right.
For the first forty days after they met, they saw each other every single day—because neither of them wanted to miss a moment.
Eventually, Alex had to return home, but Evan was curious to see where he came from—so they made the 500-mile journey together. Evan flew back almost every other weekend until Alex finally made the long-awaited move to Boston.
Since then, they’ve built a life full of joy, chaos, and a slightly annoying level of happiness.

Together, they’ve explored everywhere from Los Angeles (twice!) to Miami, New York City, Chicago, Montréal, Québec City, Paris, London, Amsterdam, and Dublin. They’ve zip-lined over waterfalls, camped in Joshua Tree, ran the L.A. Marathon, and been to three Disney parks (and counting).
And that was just the beginning.
They can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with you.
